Hi guys. My name is Carl and I am a second year law student at NYU. I think your shadowing program is a great idea and I would like to volunteer my time to host one of your members.

Additionally, I have been thinking about trying to find a part-time job this semester. One of the things I have come up with is to help pre-law students with the law school application process - Essays, LSAT prep, law school selection, the whole thing. Anyway, if this is something you might be interested in, please shoot me an email at crgoss@hotmail.com. Take it easy.

 Law School Symposium
« Result #10 on Feb 14, 2007, 3:53pm »

Have you ever wondered why states fall apart? Interested in hearing NYU law school professors and other academics and practitioners in the legal field speak?

The Mirage of the State: Fragmentation, Fragility, and Failure and the Implications on Law and Security

The New York University Journal of International Law and Politics is proud to present the 11th Annual Herbert Rubin and Justice Rose Lutan Rubin International Law Symposium, which will take place on Thursday, March 1st in Lipton Hall, starting at 9:30am. The Symposium will address the problem of state weakness: investigating its causes and consequences, the implications it has on international legal and political norms, as well as on global security, and policy alternatives for preventing state failure and correcting state instability. A variety of academics, as well as individuals from the private and public sectors, will converge for what promises to be an interesting and informative discussion.

For more information and a detailed schedule of the day’s events, please visit: http://www.law.nyu.edu/journals/jilp/symposium/
